Free SQL Validator & Syntax Checker
Paste a query and your tables, and see the problems before you run it: misspelled columns, tables that don't exist, JOINs with no condition, and statements that could delete data. Nothing is executed or stored.
Optional. One table per line, or paste CREATE TABLE statements — add them to also check that table and column names exist.
What the checker looks for
- Tables in your query that aren't in your schema, with the closest match suggested.
- Columns that don't exist on the table they're used with — the usual cause of “unknown column” errors.
- JOINs missing an ON or USING condition, which quietly return every row paired with every row.
- SELECT * across joined tables, where duplicate column names make results ambiguous.
- UPDATE and DELETE without a WHERE clause, and other statements that change data.

Frequently asked
Is this SQL validator free?
Yes. Checks run in your browser, there is no signup, and neither your query nor your schema is stored.
What does it check?
It compares every table and column in your query against the schema you paste, flags typos with a suggestion, catches JOINs with no ON condition, warns about SELECT * across joins, and warns when a statement can modify or delete data.
Does it run my query?
Never. Nothing is executed and no database is contacted — the check is purely a read of the SQL text against your schema.
